The Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College would like to congratulate the outstanding students who were able to compete in the Skills USA National competition, held in Kansas City during the week of June 23-27.
Skills USA is a nationwide competition where students are able to demonstrate their proven skills in their program of study, and compete against other students in that program. These competitions are held at regional, state, and national levels.
We are proud of the fourteen students, and their instructors who represented the OWATC at the National competition this year. Their hard work and determination certainly paid off, and we are very proud of their efforts and success.
Areas that students competed in include Commercial Baking, Cosmetology, Job Skills Demonstration, Chapter Display, Sheet Metal, Industrial Motor Control, Architectural Drafting, CNC Turning and Milling, Precision Machining Technology, CNC Machine, and Dental Assisting. We are proud to announce that three OWATC students received medals in this years competition.

Courtney Jensen received a silver medal for her second place finish in high school Cosmetology. Her advisor is Karen Skinner.
