Welcome to Accounting. Accounting is an exciting career that puts you right in the heart of a business. It serves as the financial information function to let a business know how they have done and to plan for the future. Accounting offers two certificates: Accounting Clerk and Accounting Technician.
The Accounting Clerk Outline allows you to gain general office skills while specializing in Accounting qualifying you to work in an entry-level general office job where you would get to do some accounting work.
The Accounting Technician Outline allows you to specialize in accounting qualifying you to work as an entry-level accountant for a small business where you would have a wide range of accounting responsibilities or in a larger business where you might specialize in an area such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc. Competencies in both outlines include a broad range of business skills and basic accounting skills. Accounting skills include recording and summarizing financial information using a desktop calculator and a computer.

We are looking forward to the planned expansion of Accounting to our Roy Campus in the Fall of 2007.
On Friday, August 24th we will be staffing a booth at the Ogden Raptors baseball game. We will be giving away T-shirts to the first 100 people who fill out a contact card.
Hi, I’m Larry Patane and this is a picture of me with one of my students. I have 7 years of full-time industry experience in accounting and many years of part-time and voluntary experience in several organizations. I have earned a Master’s Degree in Education. I really love teaching people here and have been doing it for 32 years. The thing I enjoy most is seeing the transformation that happens in students from when they first get here to when they leave with confidence and a job. I would enjoy the chance to discuss this great program with you.
